Originally released in 1984, “Yemenite Songs” was reissued only two years later due to popular demand. Here, legendary Israeli pop singer Ofra Haza returns to her roots with a contemporary spin on traditional Yemeni Jewish songs. The lyrics were adapted from the 16th century poet Rabi Shalom Shabazi and sung in Hebrew with a Yemenite accent or in Arabic, to cater to both audiences. Glossy record and clean labels. Sleeve has very minor edge wear, closer to NM.
